    About

    The vision

    The struggle

The Haitian International Jazz Fest NYC is a groundbreaking new cultural institution set to debut in the fall of 2026. Born from a vision to celebrate the profound and often overlooked influence of the Haitian spirit on global music, our festival presents a world-class journey through the entire spectrum of jazz.

We are more than a concert series. We are a dynamic fusion of sound, culture, and community. Our curated stages feature internationally acclaimed jazz pioneers alongside the most innovative voices from the Haitian diaspora and beyond, creating a unique musical dialogue you won't find anywhere else. Alongside the performances, our festival grounds pulse with the vibrant flavors of Haitian cuisine, the beauty of visual art, and the energy of shared experience.

We envision a world where the boundaries between musical genres and cultural traditions are blurred, creating a new, more inclusive sound for the future of jazz. We see our festival becoming an essential destination in New York City's cultural calendar—a beacon for artistic excellence, a catalyst for cross-cultural conversation, and a home for anyone who believes in the power of music to connect us all.

The core values that guide our actions

Artistic Excellence: We present only the highest caliber of artists, from legendary masters to the next generation of innovators.

Cultural Celebration: We honor the richness of Haitian heritage as a vital and dynamic force in the world.

Community Connection: We are committed to being a festival for New York, fostering accessibility and engagement through education and outreach.

Creative Fusion: We believe the most exciting art is created at the intersections—between genres, cultures, and disciplines.
